WHAT IS TAP POOL LEAGUE?
TAP is considered by many as the best amateur pool league for 8-Ball, 9-Ball and 10-Ball in the United States and Canada. It’s a more competitive league and known to most as The Pool Players’ League. But don’t let that intimidate you because anyone can play and anyone can win due to our handicap system.
If you have been playing in your home game room or occasionally at your local bar or billiard room but are looking to get into a more competitive atmosphere and truly test your game, then TAP league is for you.
WHY IS TAP LEAGUE DIFFERENT?
No Slop Rule!
Nothing is more frustrating than your opponent pocketing a ball in an unintended pocket and being allowed to continue shooting. At TAP we call our ball and pocket. In order to continue at the table you must pocket your called ball in the intended pocket.
Digital Scoring
You will use TAP the APP for score-keeping from your phone or tablet eliminating paper packets and score sheet drop-offs. The experience is precise, fun, live and less time consuming. No fuss, just fun!
Level Playing Field: No Pro’s
The beauty of a handicap playing system is that it levels the playing field for all players. Amateur competition is only fun if you can win. The handicap system allows for all to compete and win. Fun for everyone!
25 Rule!
The 25 Rule is in place to keep each team competitive. The sum of the five shooters’ handicaps that play on one night may not exceed 25. This allows for your team to compete at a high level without over-powering lower rated teams.
Numerous Tournaments
At TAP we take pride in the numerous amount of 8-Ball, 9-Ball and 10-Ball tournaments and league play throughout the year!
Open Table After The Break.
This is a nice feature in the TAP league. In 8-Ball the table is always open after the break! This allows the shooter to have their choice of Stripes or Solids despite what they may have made on the break.
